Indication of Distribution Channel for Herbal Products on Label
In accordance with the Notification of the Herbal Product Committee regarding the display of herbal product names for registration, notification of details, or listing of herbal products, as well as labeling and accompanying documentation for herbal products (B.E. 2564 / 2021).
1. General Sale of Herbal Products
This refers to herbal products that can be sold through general retail channels, where the seller is not required to hold a license (e.g., grocery stores or general retail shops).
The product label must clearly display the statement:
“General Sale of Herbal Product” within a green-bordered box.
Remark:
In the case of traditional medicines previously classified as household remedies under the Drug Act, the labeling must be updated to “General Sale Herbal Product” in accordance with the Herbal Product Act.

2. Licensed-Premises-Only Herbal Products
This refers to herbal products that may be sold only at licensed premises, such as modern drugstores, traditional medicine pharmacies, or authorized herbal product retailers.
The product label must clearly display the statement:
“For Sale Only at Licensed Premises” within a red-bordered box.

3. Healthcare-Facility-Use-Only Herbal Products
This refers to herbal products that must be dispensed exclusively by licensed professionals, including practitioners of Thai traditional medicine (Thai medicine), medical doctors, or dental practitioners, as applicable.
The product label must clearly display the statement:
“For Use Only in Healthcare Facilities” within a red-bordered box.

Labeling Requirement (Font Size)
For all three distribution categories, the text must have a minimum height of 2 millimeters and must be clearly legible.
